{Irruption}: an invasion of birds in unusual places

I grew up in Dodge City, Kansas, a town with a reputation. After living in California for awhile, I met a man from Michigan, packed my bags, and headed to the Great Lakes State. We soon married, and our son was born in 1982. My husband and I live at Higgins Lake, Michigan.

I am an adoptee, a wife, mother, daughter, friend, dog lover, runner, guitar player (formerly in a band), retired teacher, writer, and family, friends, and former students have told me I am funny. My writing has appeared in The Bear River Review, The Dunes Review, The Lake Magazine, The Prose-Poem Project, and various other journals. Welcome to my blog.
